WRF Thrown Cup - Calming Waves
Calming Waves is reminiscent of calm morning walks along the beach—the gentle waves lapping the sandy beach in a soothing rhythm. The surface of the ocean is a light milky blue, reflecting the first rays of a lazy sunny day. The calm morning along the coast holds endless possibilities for the day. Hopefully, it can give you the calm and peace you need as you start your day with a cup of coffee or tea.
The handless cup shape is part of W/R/F Lab’s Thrown collection, designed to let the user enjoy the warmth of the drink as they wrap both hands around the cup. This cup is dishwasher and microwave-safe, each piece designed to be practical and functional as well as aesthetically pleasing.
This is a unique collaboration between W/R/F Lab in Los Angeles and TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA inspired by the hues of the Pacific Ocean. Each W/R/F hand-thrown cup is finished with a hand-dipped gloss glaze and raw clay bottom, crafted by Japanese artist Nobuhito Nishigawara. Nobuhito’s handmade pottery line embodies traditional Japanese techniques with a simple and modern aesthetic. The mugs can be used to hold your favorite drink as you enjoy your day with TRAVELER’S notebook.
